Jenna Fischer is best known for her role as Pam Beesly on the acclaimed TV show The Office, for which she was awarded an Emmy nomination for the Best Supporting Actress as well as Two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from An Ensemble Comedy.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna's mother Anne was a performer in church dramas as a child which sparked an interest in theater.
A trained theater actress, Fischer returned to her roots following the completion of The Office. In the Off-Broadway Play Reasons to Be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was the lead. She then starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's world premiere.
The cast of the show, including Angela Kinsey (the character mate to Fischer) and her actual best friend Angela Kinsey, who is from The Office, started a podcast in the month of October. It was titled Office Ladies. The show has grown in popularity and has landed in the Top Ten every single week. The initial year, it had over 200 million downloads. In January 2021, Office Ladies won iHeart Radio's Podcast of the Year award.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends there. This memoir is about the relationship between them and how they worked for The Office.
